Introduction to Bank Compliance |
This training encompasses an in-depth discovery of the many rules and regulations that govern banking. It covers topics such as the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Act, Fair Lending regulations, Financial Credit Reporting Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Robbery and Bank Security and Sexual and Workplace Harassment. It also covers the Flood Disaster Protection Act, Bank Bribery Act, Bank Protection Act, the Office of Foreign Asset Control, Active Aggressor for Employees, Appraisals: FIRREA and Interagency Guidelines and Information Security and Red Flags. As you can see, banking is a well-regulated industry and knowing how to stay in compliance is a very important part of the knowledge necessary to be a successful banker. |
Customer Service Systems Training |
Learning how to use the systems necessary to complete daily transactions and customer administration is key to the successful growth in your customer service banking career. Training in this area begins with the core banking system and continues in areas such as teller operations, online banking platforms, bill pay operations and safe deposit box procedures. Additionally, you will receive training on the phone systems in areas such as our call center options via call, email, chat, and screen share. Customer service representatives receive monthly, in-depth training on deposit products offered by the bank as well as fraud prevention programs giving them an understanding of what the bank has to offer and a complete view of how to service our customers. The customer service representatives also receive physical and cyber security training necessary for banking operations. |
Cross-Training Opportunities |
Helping our employees grow within the bank is important to Texas Security Bank. As such, as you grow in your Customer Service Representative role, you will be cross-trained in other areas of banking as well. These areas include becoming familiar with all aspects of opening deposit accounts for banking customers and understanding the detailed interfaces between the bank and other solution providers. You will work as part of a team to provide exemplary customer service in cooperation with our call center, sales organizations, mortgage lending, treasury management and loan servicing. In addition to the training outlined above, our Customer Service Representatives are provided a high level of exposure to our top executives and on-the-job training opportunities. Periodic Lunch and Learn training sessions are scheduled using a formal curriculum on topics related to running a business, as well as individual book studies.
